what is TV advertising

TV advertising is a span of television programming produced and paid for by an organisation, which conveys a message, typically to market a product and service. Depending on the target audience they are aired at different times, for example an advert with that is aimed at children will usually be aired after school times, which is usually between the hours of 3 and 4 on weekdays, and adverts aimed at adults tend to be aired after 8pm. Three main characteristics of TV adverts are; they are always short and informative, they are quite biased and only list good qualities about the thing they are advertising and lastly they often have an extended link, where you can get more information about the company or organisation, for example a website or phone number.
